How to Care for Your New Best Friend

Training-

Chihuahuas like any dog won't train themselves. It takes time and patience to train a puppy and chihuahuas love any extra attention they can get. Spoiling your new puppy will become very important to you. As time goes on you will notice that your chihuahua picks up on your emotions and knows just what to do to get what he/she wants. It is important that you discipline your chi accordingly no matter how cute and cuddly it may be.

Potty Time-

Potty training your chihuahua will start immediately after the dog is in your home. It is important that you show the dog the correct place to "go potty". When taking the dog outside or on a walk you should repeat phrases like "go potty" and "let's go outside" this way the dog will associate that phrase with the task of going potty outside. In the first couple weeks of training it is very important to praise and reward you're pup when it does go potty in the right place.

Personality-

When you get your chihuahua home it may

be nervous at first but it won't take long before

you're chi will break out of it's shell. Chihuahuas

tend to think that they are alot bigger than they

actually are. They have extremely Macho personalities

and they are not afraid to show it.
